Cole :: 6 Months

He's beautiful. And I wanted to take him home with me. :)
Cole and I had so much fun together during our session. And the fact that he loved being just in his diaper was fantastic for my ideas to concentrate on his adorableness and testing out some new blankets.

Luke

Remember Heather & Mike from their maternity session a few months ago? We were scheduled to do a newborn session after Luke was born, but due to busy schedules and medical issues, we put the session off until he was bigger. In December we met up for a session before the holidays. Here's Luke in all of his cuteness!

Colten is 11 months!

Actually... he's almost one. But at this session last month, he was still a baby. :) After next weekend, he'll be a big boy. Hard to believe, right? Our session almost didn't happen, though. It had to be re-scheduled a few times due to weather. And on the day of the session, we almost had to cancel again. It was dark and rainy... not something that a natural light, on-location photographer enjoys. At the last minute, Colten's mom thought to use her business's lobby for our session, and it turned out to be wonderful!
I love spending time with clients who purchase my baby plan. I love nothing more than hanging out with them, playing silly games, and hearing little baby laughs. (I also like being able to give them back to their parents when we're done... haha!) Here are some of my favorites from Colten's session.

Madeline is 8 months!

Madeline turned 8 months a few weeks ago... but we'll pretend it was right on the money for our portrait session. Madeline is one of my baby plan clients, so I get to see her adorable face four times out of the year! Next up will be her 12 month session... yikes!
We incorporated Hambrick's Tree Farm into our session since the holidays are upon us. I took pictures of the whole family too, but I'll keep them a secret in case you're on their holiday card list. :) Here are a few of my favorites from our mini-session together!

I have to include this one of Madeline's big sister, Emma. It was difficult for her not to steal the show from Madeline. Their parents sure do have beautiful genes! :)

The Jones Family

This past Sunday, I met up with the Jones family for some fall portraits. We met at the north campus at Valdosta State University. I was so excited to see their autumn attire, and I fell in love with little A's overalls. Aren't they adorable?
Mom and dad were celebrating their 6th anniversary, so I took some couple portraits too. I'm saving those for their own post later this week, but for now here are some of my favorite family images.

Are you kidding me with this image?! I love it!

Savannah, 9 months

I'm back with more sneak peek images from Savannah's 9 month session! She's grown so much since I first took pictures of her in February, and I was so excited to see how big she was! Here are some of my favorites from our session.

Savannah is going to be a ladybug for Halloween. Isn't she adorable? She wasn't so sure about the costume... but I had to include it! :)

Just when you think everything is against you...

Dad was sick and couldn't join us.
The parking lot was full.
The clouds were dark and gray.
Colten was tired.
The guys playing football on the field behind us were distracting.
It started to rain.

When everything seems against you during a photo session, the only thing you can do is laugh and make the best of the situation. We probably only had a solid 20 minutes of shooting time, but we made it work! Here are some of my favorites from Colten's 9 month session. He'll be back in a few weeks with both of his parents (dad, I hope you feel better!) but until then here's Colten and his mommy!

Krista is 8 months old!

I don't know about you, but I'm loving these big images! Yesterday I met up with Krista and her parents for her 8-month photo session. Krista's parents are participating in my Baby package which documents baby's first year with photos every few months. I'm always amazed at how much they grow in between sessions, and Krista was no different!

Cute as a Button

Madeline was all smiles Sunday morning during our session together. She's playful, loves to eat her clothing, and is totally in love with her daddy. He was a great sport and stood behind me during most of our session... I'm sure making faces at me. :) Whatever he did, he can keep doing it every time we have a session because it worked.

Isn't it amazing the way that people act when there is a baby around? Everyone is so lovely dovey around them, hugging them, cooing at them. I actually felt like I had an out-of-body experience because I could have sworn that I followed suite... which is something that I told myself I'd never do. I guess when you're around an adorable baby, you can't help yourself.

Sunday's session was Madeline's second installment of her Bloomin' Baby package, which follows babies every four months through their first year. Here are some of my favorites from her session.

Amber, what a Cutie Patootie!

So really, you've got to be kidding me here. How cute is Miss Amber?! I posted one image of her on Sunday and couldn't wait to reveal my other favorites to you! I exercised some control, but couldn't hold out any longer! :)

Amber is 4 months old, and just about the cutest thing I've ever seen. And yes, I do realize that I say this about ALL of my baby clients, but it's true. Each in their own way, they're all the cutest thing!

Sunday morning I met up with Amber and her mom, and we transformed their back deck into a beautiful photo location. As an aside... one of the things I love most about being an on-location photographer is that I come to you or we go somewhere together. I always laugh when parents say "my home isn't bright enough" or "good luck finding a spot for pictures". It's amazing how you can totally transform something into the perfect picture taking area. Amber's parents have a beautiful deck out back and even though it was sunny during our session, their huge umbrella for the outside table provided the pefect amount of shade! Alright, back on task...

Here's Miss Amber! :)
