Official Butterfly Post :)

As I mentioned in my previous post, my friend Lindsi and I went down to Gainesville on Thursday to the Butterfly Rainforest which is part of the Florida Museum of Natural History. Saying that it was an awesome experience is definitely an understatement, and I could have easily spent even more time admiring these creatures. The butterfly guides were extremely knowledgeable about the different types of butterflies, their behavior, and how to get them to land on you. Thankfully, the weather was warm and sunny so the butterflies cooperated nicely with our plan for pictures.

After leaving the rainforest area, we ventured to the butterfly research area. It was interesting seeing the workers put together pallets of cocoons. Also shown below is a new butterfly who just broke free from his cocoon!

* What do you think of the way I have these pictures laid out... it's a bit different than my norm of putting my logo on every image, but I think I like that the images aren't distracted. Leave a comment and let me know which you prefer.*

I think they are beautiful. I like the logo not on the picture.

What cute pictures. I am sure Emma would love to go to a place like this. I also like the logo not being on the pictures. It lets you enjoy the whole image while still being able to see who they belong to.

Those butterfly images are so gorgeous.

I found your blog a while back somehow and just love your photos. I'm a novice photographer in Virginia and always just love to see how other people capture life. Thanks for sharing!
