I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season... and if you gave portraits as gifts that they were well received. :) My husband and I spent Christmas with his family, and had a great time visiting with everyone! I think I'm still full from all of the food that was eaten!
I wanted to let everyone know that with the start of the new year, a few things are changing around The Bond Between Us.
Print Collections: In addition to a la carte pricing, I've decided to offer print collections as a way for clients who like a little more structure to be able to make ordering easier.
Pricing: I've been overwhelmed at the response of my photography, and feel as though I have a better understanding of the work that goes into producing a final image product from the time I snap a picture. I promise it won't be a big change, but please be prepared to see a slight alteration in 2008.
Contests (i.e. FREE STUFF!!): I've seen a few fellow photographers host contests on their blog, and I wanted to give my readers the same opportunity to win cool stuff. The prizes might be photo related, they might not. Stay tuned for more details in 2008!
Thank you for allowing my the opportunity to capture images of you and your family... and to be able to share those images with all of my blog readers. Here's hoping that 2008 brings you happiness and a sense of peace!
A few pictures to share of our Christmas tree, and my new favorite ornament of the year!

The Kahl Family
Sunday was one of the coldest days we've had so far in Valdosta... yet it was the only day that I could hold this session for the Kahl Family. Mrs. Kahl's parents were in town from Brazil, and next weekend they're moving to Colorado. So, we had to brave the weather, and hope for the best.
Despite the windchill, things turned out better than expected. :)

One Last Order...
I just wanted to inform everyone that Monday evening, I will be processing my last print order for 2007. If you would like to order prints for delivery before Christmas, please send me an e-mail with your order by Monday at 6:00pm. If your order is received at 6:01 or later, it will not be included.
I hope everyone is having a good holiday season, and that you're not frankly buying presents for loved ones! Remember, gift certificates for session and print fees are still available!

Micah
Yesterday, I had the pleasure of photographing Micah. Last year, his mom adopted him from Guatelama. She says that she's been interested in getting pictures of him, and found my information from Celebrating Adoption, an organization I joined earlier this year. Celebrating Adoption is a truly wonderful creation that celebrates the adoption process through photography.
Micah's mom, Barbara, has been the first person to contact me for these kind of portraits, and I was so excited that she did! We met up at McKey Park, and although Micah didn't seem too keen on sitting still, the images I captured were true to the lifestyle of an almost 2-year old!

The Vincent Family
I've been so lucky this year to really see my how much my clients appreciate my work. As many of you know, I have no formal advertising plan. No flyers left at places, no ads or commercials. Every new client comes to me through past clients. So when someone wants to book me based on the recommendations of others, I smile on the inside knowing that I've impressed atleast one person. :)
The Vincent Family was referred to me by the Norris family that I photographed just two weekends ago. It's amazing how fast word spreads when it's something good! I had so much fun during out photo shoot together on Saturday. We walked around, played in the leaves, and I even got mom and dad to make funny faces at the camera (see sneak peek picture #4).

Gift Certificates
I know it's still early, but if you're feeling stuck and still trying to figure out what to give your loved ones, friends, co-workers, or neighbors for the holidays... consider a gift certificate from The Bond Between Us photography! Available in any denomination beginning at $50, the certificates are redeemable toward a session fee and print purchases.

Rachel & Jason are Expecting!
This morning (err, yesterday morning... it's almost 1:00am) I met up with Rachel and her husband, Jason. Rachel and I have been e-maling back and forth for about two months, and I was thrilled to do today's session! Rachel and Jason got married a few months ago, and will be welcoming their daughter to the world in January. So many exciting changes!
We had such a good time today. First, not only was their house gorgeous (it looks straight out of the Pier 1 catalog... although Jason built most of the furniture) but they are so in love that I hardly had to give any direction.
I had a tough time narrowing down my favorites, but here are a few from our session.

Noelle
I spent the weekend after Thanksgiving with Noelle while her mom went out of town on to a dental conference. While her mom sat through lectures, we ventured to the mall, went out to eat, went to the VSU football game, and bought a goldfish. We even managed to squeeze in a few pictures too!
Here are a few images from our session!
