I am so lucky to have the greatest friends ever. This weekend I traveled to Birmingham, Alabama to have a girl's weekend with nine of my closest friends. Though we come from all walks of life and have very busy lives, we've managed to remain close for the past five years. Two of the girls this weekend are pregnant, and we are all so excited. One isn't too far along (but I swear I'll get pictures in a few months). Dusty, however, is... and it's beautiful!
Dusty is truly a natural beauty. She can be girly-girl one minute, but then practical and getting dirty the next. She also has awesome fashion and lifestyle sense that can be followed all around the world through her blog (http://www.allthingsgd.blogspot.com/). You've got to check her out!
In preparing for our girl's weekend, Dusty and I have been talking about her baby bump getting some action on my blog. Her baby is 26 weeks old today, and I can't wait to see her continue to grow and see her cute face one day! Until, here are some pictures of Dusty and her adorable baby belly!

Out of Town!
Hi blog world! Just wanted to write a little blurb to say that I'll be out of town from today through Sunday, and probably won't be checking my e-mail or returning calls until I get back. Make sure to check back on Monday though, because this weekend I'll be doing an awesome maternity session with a great friend of mine.

Just when you think everything is against you...
Dad was sick and couldn't join us.
The parking lot was full.
The clouds were dark and gray.
Colten was tired.
The guys playing football on the field behind us were distracting.
It started to rain.
When everything seems against you during a photo session, the only thing you can do is laugh and make the best of the situation. We probably only had a solid 20 minutes of shooting time, but we made it work! Here are some of my favorites from Colten's 9 month session. He'll be back in a few weeks with both of his parents (dad, I hope you feel better!) but until then here's Colten and his mommy!

One spot open... to a lucky family!
As it turns out, there's ONE day in October that just recently came available for a session. Normally, I would keep that day a secret in order to unwind with friends and family... especially with how busy things are going to be getting in the next few weeks. So I figure that if I'm going to spill the secret, I can be picky about who gets to fill it.
I'm looking for a special family. A family who oozes love... a family with a story... a family with spunk. And, one more requirement. A family with a dog.
I've been dying to do a family session with a pooch. And I figure that there's no better time than the present, right? This special family will not only get a fantastic session, they'll get it with the one member of the family who is all to often left behind in family pictures.
So. If you're that family, let me know that you're interested. With a paid session, you'll get a 11x14 print (a $20 value) included with your order. E-mail me (thebondbetweenus@gmail.com) and we'll work out the details. I'm willing to open up two time slots, so act fast before they're taken!
Small print: The families selected must be available on Saturday, October 10th for the photo sessions. Families chosen must be lived in the Valdosta area, or must be willing to travel to Valdosta for the session.

Great news!
I am completely booked for regular sessions through 2009! I always try to leave a little room for last-minute or unexpected sessions like maternity or newborns... but traditional sessions are currently being booked for January 2010.

Loretta & Daniel : Married
In June, I had the opportunity to second-shoot for my wonderful friend Lindsi Jones. We traveled to Moultrie and photographed Loretta and Daniel's beautiful wedding.
To say that Loretta and Daniel are attractive people is like saying that I like to drink Coca-Cola.... it's an understatement. These pictures don't even begin to showcase the amazingness of their wedding and the love they have for one another!

Krista is 8 months old!
I don't know about you, but I'm loving these big images! Yesterday I met up with Krista and her parents for her 8-month photo session. Krista's parents are participating in my Baby package which documents baby's first year with photos every few months. I'm always amazed at how much they grow in between sessions, and Krista was no different!
