Christen & Matt

I have the wonderful pleasure of capturing Christen & Matt's wedding in October. Christen and I have been friends for a number of years, and I was so excited to hear that they were engaged... and moreso when she asked me to be their photographer!
This weekend, we trekked over to Homerville to take some engagement pictures. Here's a sneak peek at their portraits:

Bad Blogger

I know, I know... I'm sorry. The only thing I really have is pictures from our family reunion a few weeks ago. We DID see some waterfalls. I suppose I could post them. However, for comic relief and so I can actually say that I've posted lately... the latest picture of Toby, our cat.

I think that he thinks he's a person. Whatever. :)

Some landscape

You really didn't think that I traveled to both Jekyll AND Amelia Island without taking pictures of my surroundings, did you?? Here are some landscape images from the other weekend.
I've thought about doing a little stock photography or selling images, but don't really know if these are "good enough".

Celebrating Adoption

I just have to post about this! An amazing organization, Celebrating Adoption, has been created to offer FREE photography sessions to families who have adopted children within the past year. It began a few years ago, and has boomed since then!
I'm happy to announce that I have applied to be one of their photographers! Basically, as a photographer, I will waive my session fee, provide each family with a set of printed proofs (perfect for framing or scrapbooking), and offer additional prints or enlargements at a 15% reduced rate.
I don't come from an adoptive family, but I work with children and teens each day who live in foster care... and now how important it is for them to be shown love. This is the least I can do to show appreciation for a family willing to share their love.

I invite you to check out Celebrating Adoption's website:
http://www.celebratingadoption.org/ . And if you know anyone who might fall into this category, I'd love to photograph their new family!

One Big Happy...

6 kids + 2 adults = an adventure for this photographer. 8 different personalities all having to look the same way and pretend they like the person standing next to them. :) I'm happy to say that everyone survived!
Here's a sneak peek into their session:

We Trashed It!

Meet Melissa, my new friend from Savannah. We had a blast at Driftwood Beach, and I'm so excited about these images!!

Today's Adventures

No pictures, but I wanted to give a 'shout-out' to my wonderful clients today!
This morning, I left the house at 8:00am... and got home around 9:30pm. What did I do all day? A lot of driving, even more photo-taking, and making some great friends along the way!

Melissa, thank you so much for meeting me half-way and being a fan-TAB-ulous model on Driftwood Beach. I am so thankful that you were willing to take on the challenge. (BTW, are you as red as I am? I've got some wonderful tan lines... hehe)

Stacy & Phil (and the kids), you guys are such troopers. It was so wonderful to be able to put a face with all of the e-mails we've been sending back and forth! I can't wait until your wedding in a few weeks!

I promise that tomorrow I'll have some pictures for you all to see.

Featured Session

If you click on the link to my website, at right, you'll see the images from my featured session! If you choose "Galleries" from the menu bar, the images from Misty and Aaron's engagement session can be seen in the first gallery.

I thought this would be a great concept to allow potential clients to see the variety of images that will be captured during a session. I hope to update this gallery often with my latest session images.

So go... right now... and look at them! =)
