Peacefulness

Serenity is what I feel when I'm at Stone Mountain Park. Sure, there are a ton of people around during most parts of the year, but spending time among nature within a huge city is amazing to me. I can always find peace and quiet off the beaten path.
After George and Lauren's engagement session last weekend, I stayed behind to take in the peacefulness that was around me. I walked around some, drove around some, and took pictures.

So what do you think about the big pictures... pretty cool, eh?

Check out my new clothes!

Notice anything new? No, I didn't lose weight, and yes my hair has always been this color. I got a new blog. :)

A huge thanks to the talents Jan of
Jannypie Crafts. Jan offers so many neat things on her website... blog design, birdhouses, purses (I'm stalking my mailman waiting to get mine), and all sorts of other goodies. She also has an etsy site! Go check her out! For my blog design, all I did was tell her my likes and dislikes... and I was amazed at what she created for me! Not only is my background and blog header different, I also have the capabilities of making my pictures big! Which is AWESOME!

Gotta love Facebook... Lauren & George : Engaged

I love Facebook. Not only does it allow me to connect with long-lost friends, it provides me a limitless source of people that I can connect with regarding photography!

Lauren, George, and I know one another through other friends... it's actually a long story. Fast forward to a few months ago, Lauren left a comment on my Facebook giving me a compliment for my pictures. She asked if I ever did weddings... and the rest is history.

I am so excited about their wedding. Lauren and George will be getting married in December, and I'm thrilled for them. During their engagement session on Saturday we talked all about the details of their Big Day. It was awesome to see George light up too... I'm not really used to seeing the grooms get excited about wedding plans.

Speaking of their engagement session, we met up on Saturday afternoon in Atlanta at Stone Mountain Park. There were a TON of people, but we managed to find some nice spots off the beaten path. We wanted a mixture of traditional and fun, with a smidge of recognition on the location. I think we met our goals. Have a look...

Lindsey & Mark : Engaged

Lindsey and I go back several years to the world of waitressing. When I left one job for another, we kind of lost touch. However, Lindsey knew all along that we'd eventually end up back working together... this time, for her wedding. Lindsey and Mark will be getting married in February, and I'm so excited to shoot their 1940's style wedding. Lindsey is having her dress handmade and I've heard rumors of an awesome antique getaway car. Here are some of my favorites from our session together last weekend. I can't wait to see these two glammed up when they say I Do!

I'm loving this template I scored for free from Melissa Davis Designs! Save the Dates are a perfect way to announce your upcoming wedding!

Sneak Peek...

into my editing world! My photoshop has been on the fritz the past few days, so I'm behind on editing and fulfilling orders... my apologies! Here's a super quick look at my sessions on Saturday. First up was Dalton, a 2 year-old who is adorable and B.U.S.Y. Next is Lindsey & Mark's engagement session, my first wedding couple of 2010. I can't wait until February to shoot their 1940's style wedding!

Just two for now. I'll be back for more soon. Promise!

Christmas in July... err, August!

Christmas is TOTALLY my favorite holiday. It's my favorite holiday because you can shop for it all year. In fact, I already know what I'm going to get just about everyone on my Christmas list this year. Awesome, right?
My personal family and friends aren't the only ones who will make out like madmen this year... so will you! I'm trying to figure out the best packages to offer this holiday season, and I need your help.
When you think about a holiday portrait session, what is most important to you? Do you want holiday cards... do you want images on a CD for self-printing... do you want a storyboard? a canvas? a print credit? Leave a comment on this post and tell me what you want. In the next few weeks I'll nail down something specific, but selecting something that you'll like is important to me! So, on your mark, get set, go... leave a comment!
