The Day After Session

Christen was so excited when I posted about the South GA Trashing, and said that she wanted to do something similar after their wedding. I was STOKED! (Do people ever use that word anymore?) Matt wasn't so keen on completing trashing their wedding outfits, so we agreed upon a "Day After" session on the beach.
Though the sun was bright, we had a lot of fun!

Matt & Christen, Part Two

So, what's a wedding without pictures of people? :)

Matt & Christen Get Hitched (Part One)

Ask anyone who lives around the South, and you'd most likely hear them describe Panama City Beach as the "Redneck Riviera". Having never been there before, I was a little weary when Christen said they were having the beach wedding there. I thought to myself "Christen is creative though, I know she'll make it work!"
Words could never have been more true. Saturday evening at sunset, Matt and Christen became husband and wife in a BEAUTIFUL ceremony surrounded by family and friends. After the exchange of vows, their reception was held pool-side!

Congratulations, Mr. & Mrs. Cribbs. I had a great time celebrating with you, and wish nothing but the best for you both!

**I've got a lot of images to share, so I'll give you a sneak peeks in installments. Tonight, Part 1: The Details. You'll have to be patient and come back for the rest!**

Editing makes my eyes hurt...

I'm on a mission to finish everything I've got before Friday afternoon. I'm shooting Christen and Matt's wedding on Saturday, and want to be able to devote all of my time after the wedding for their images... and I've still got a ways to go.
Part of my mission is creating holiday cards and birth announcements. I'm happy to say that I have checked both off my list. I'll hold off on sharing the cards, but I wanted to show Trip's birth announcement options.

**Hear that sound? It's my heart pitter-pattering**

Baby Trip

I couldn't step away from the computer without posting a picture of my newborn session with Trip. He's by far the smallest baby I've ever held. And one of the sweetest!
This post is super special just for Trip's mom and grandparents. My eyes are exhausted from editing, so I have only three to post. Don't worry, there's a whole lot more where they're coming from.
Welcome to the world, Baby Trip! You've got more love than any little kid I know!

Moody AirShow 2007

I wasn't going to post until tomorrow, since I've already done two today... but I couldn't resist these pictures from the air show yesterday. I was so excited to take my camera and "shoot" airplanes! :)

Take 2...

About a month ago, I met up with Dalton and his parents for a family session that they won at the Haven's annual fundraiser. Dalton wasn't in the greatest of moods, and while I got a few good images from their session, decided that a do-over was appropriate.
Things went a lot better yesterday, and I can't wait to edit their pictures. Here are a few I quickly grabbed out and played with.

Melissa's Maternity

Melissa said that she really didn't have any good pregnant pictures of herself, but wanted to hold-off taking pictures with her husband until she was a little bigger. We met up on Saturday for a mini-session... and topped it off with a pumpkin. :)

Four, count 'em, four...

sessions this weekend! My camera and index finger are going to have a work-out by the end of Sunday afternoon. Not to mention the strain of my eyes. But it's definitely worth it!
Check back throughout the weekend for teaser images from the sessions. And, if you like what you see and haven't already scheduled a session, e-mail me (
thebondbetweenus@gmail.com) to set one up! There are only 67 more days until Christmas, and only 31 more days to complete sessions before the Christmas deadline!
So, what kind of sessions am I doing? Here's the line up:

- Family Session with cutie, Dalton, and his parents
- Maternity pictures with Melissa (I can't WAIT to share you my fun ideas)
- Newborn session with Trip and his mom
- Couple's Christmas card session... and some with their dog too!

My camera bag arrived!

My bag arrived safely on Monday afternoon... and it's more than I could have imagined. I can't wait to use it during my shoots this weekend!

Here's the inside of the bag... two large pockets in the front, two large pockets in the back, and a huge space in the middle for other odds and ends.

The Power of Photography

While finishing up this weekend's session, I noticed something... I'm amazed at what my camera captures. The wonderful thing about photography is that you truly have the capability of freezing time. And oftentimes, capturing moments that no one else really notices.

The power of photography...

... whether you'd like to forget it...

... or you want to hold on to it forever...

Confession...

... I should still be editing my session from yesterday (I'm about half-way through) but I couldn't help making this little thing for Trip.
You know how the hospital always charges out the wa-zoo for instant gratification baby items? One of them is a newspaper type print with all sorts of information about what happened on the day that the baby was born. I decided to make my own (and much cooler) version, and give it to Erin for Trip's baby book.

Golden and Dees Families

I had a fun "musical chairs" type session this morning with the Golden and Dees families. We rotated several times around the yard, trying to escape the harsh rays of the sun. Despite a few tense moments due to the uncooperation of an almost two year old (who will remain anonymous) we had a good time.
Here are a few sneak pictures from their session. I might post a few more later, but I've got to finish up with the pumpkin session from last weekend too!
